Visiting the Ventura Vineyard
Hi, my name is Bob Harper. I am the lead pastor here at the Ventura Vineyard. Welcome to our website and welcome to our church. There are lots of things I would love to tell you if we were face to face and many things I hope you will experience if you visit. We believe in the Bible and seek to know and apply it to our lives. We enjoy worship and believe that we actually encounter the living God when we worship him. We believe the church is unlike any other organization because it exists for the benefit of those who don’t already belong to it. I could go on but there is one thing in particular that I want you to know about the Ventura Vineyard which I believe sets us apart: We are an accepting community without compromise. That means you are welcome here no matter what. It isn’t our job to judge you or point out your flaws, real or perceived. We are all making our way to a more authentic relationship with God and we want to encourage, comfort, and exhort you in that same direction. That also means that we hold ourselves to a standard. And that standard is we want to know God authentically and are devoted in our pursuit of Him.
Our community gathers for teaching and worship on Sunday mornings at 9 am and 11 am each week. We are located in an industrial area near the corner of Palma and McGrath (near Market). If you’re making plans to visit Ventura Vineyard please take a moment to map our location.
We provide a children’s program during each service for ages two (2) years old through 5th grade. In addition, a nursery is available for 0-2 year olds. Middle School & Youth programs are also available (please visit the Youth pages for days and times). Children and youth are not required to participate in the kid’s/youth program.
Our services last approximately 1.25 hours; we have a coffee bar that serves beverages and baked goods. During the service you can expect a message centered on the Bible followed by a time of worship music. We have a prayer team available after each service to meet with you if needed. We are casual but sincere so don’t feel the need to dress-up. We want you to be comfortable. Make sure to visit our “Connection Counter” located in the main room to receive a welcome packet with information about our church. So, please stop by one of our services and say hello.
